|Getting back into photography after many years, still have some glass plates in a box somewhere. But looking to buy a somewhat more modern camera.
I think the selection is down to either a Nikon D7200 or a Canon Rebel T7i. It seems that Nikon may make better lenses and Canon more updated cameras. As a returning enthusiast I don't want to buy something I'll quickly out grow, yet some help built into the camera would be great - not a point and shooter, but certainly not a pro. As far as I can find, the Canon T7 has a very nice 'guide' feature to help users understand more what they are doing and the Nikon has nothing similar.
1) Is there a 'guide' feature for the Nikon I've never found mentioned and if so is it any good?
2) Which camera would be 'best' and why? I'll be shooting mostly landscapes, plants/flowers, birds and my girl friend. No sports at all so frames per second is a minor interest. No plans to use video, so minor interest also. Feel no need to immediately spam my entire friends list instantly from the field so 'connectivity' is a minor interest.
I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
